Rock climbing

Our region is famous for local sand stone climbing areas which offer many possibilities to spend weekends out in the country and have some adventureous experiences just behind your door.

Cycling

The surrounding hills and valleys offer great terrain for cycling, ranging from flat easy tracks suitable for parents with children, through hilly paths for more demanding bikers, to special single tracks for advanced riders.

Canoeing

Local flat water rivers and lakes offer great opportunities for canoeing trips - one day or weekends with overnight camping. All locations are safe with swimming and bathing options on hot summer days.

Hill walking and hiking

Mountains, hills, meadows, rivers, forests - all virtually free to walk in, no private land or restrictions, you can walk as you wish, provided you respect the countryside code and the additional rules within preservation areas and national parks. There are great opportunities  for all those who like light strolling in the countryside and those prefering long distance hill walking along ridges of hills.

Bushcraft

Wilderness bushcraft is the detailed knowledge that can enable us to experience nature in a more indigenous way; a way that demands we open our eyes and other senses, and pay the closest attention to the world around us. We will accompany you through your discoveries of  local diverse wildlife and tell you how to see more than the others.

Winter activities coming soon

We have a great winter season lined up for coming winter 2013/14 - crosscountry skiing, sledging, husky sled dog tours and snow shoeing tours.
